The largest theater in Oak Ridge at the time, it held seating for 1,000 people. The first event at the Grove Theatre was a screening of “Hail the Conquering Hero" on September 28th, 1944. Tickets were $0.35 for an adult and $0.11 for a child. The theater also held numerous live performances.
