Installation of weather tower caps off improvements at U.S. Weather Bureau Station in Hatteras
coastal warning display tower (weather tower) was recently installed at the U.S. Weather Bureau Station in Hatteras, thanks to Cape Hatteras National Seashore’s philanthropic partner, Outer Banks Forever, and the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau. A short ceremony to celebrate the return of the weather tower and several other site improvements is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, July 10 at the U.S. Weather Bureau Station.
