ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) today announced in the Federal Register Notice a 30-day public scoping period for an environmental analysis for Campbell Tract, a 730-acre Special Recreation Management Area in Anchorage. The public scoping period is open from March 22 - April 21.

The environmental analysis considers amending the Ring of Fire Resource Management Plan to allow for consideration of managing electric bikes (e-bikes) on existing trails within the Special Recreation Management Area. The BLM requests that the public submit comments by April 21, 2023. Opportunities to provide comments include submitting online comments through the Participate Now tab on the BLM National NEPA Register project webpage or sending in a physical comment form via mail addressed to “Attn: Campbell Tract OHV Designation Amendment, Anchorage Field Office, 4700 BLM Road, Anchorage, AK 99507".
