The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District announces that the Boat Launch Ramp located in the Riffle Run Day Use Area has now reopened.

The Corps began work on March 6, 2023, with the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to dredge the Riffle Run Day Use Area Boat Launch Ramp located behind the Burnsville Dam. The job is now completed, and the boat launch area is reopened. Boaters and Fisherman are now permitted to start launching boats again at the Riffle Run Day Use Area Boat Launch.

Don’t forget to wear your life jacket anytime you are in or around the water.
