SPRINGFIELD, IL: Lincoln Home National Historic Site presents: “Now and Forever" April 16 at 2:30pm in the Lincoln Home Visitor Center, 426 S Seventh Street, in Springfield.

To commemorate the 158th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, Pam Brown will portray Mary Lincoln in a special one-time presentation at Lincoln Home National Historic Site. It is April 14, 1865 and Mary is anxiously waiting for her husband to accompany her from the White House to Ford's Theatre for a play. Her attempts to get the unseen Mr. Lincoln moving in a timely manner are unfortunately unsuccessful. In the meantime, she speaks to the audience instead. Confiding in them with her "box of memories," providing a personal view into the history and mind of the first lady on one of the most fateful evenings of her life.

The program runs for approximately one hour, including time for audience Q&A following the performance. Admission is free and tickets are not required. For more information, contact Lincoln Home National Historic Site at 217-391-3221.
