Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park is located on the south west portion of the island of Hawai‘i. It is approximately a 2.5 hour drive from Hilo and a 40 minute drive from Kailua-Kona. The entrance station serves as a checkpoint for visitors who are required to purchase an entrance pass or present their existing pass to gain access to the park.
