The Boquillas Port of Entry within Big Bend National Park, providing access to the town of Boquillas, Coahuila, Mexico, as well as the Mexican Protected Areas of Maderas del Carmen and Ocampo, will change to the summer schedule beginning Monday, May 1st. The port will be open four days a week, Friday through Monday.
Summer Hours of Operation:
Pedestrians will be able to access the port between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Central Time
OPEN: Friday through Monday CLOSED: Tuesday, Wednesday, ThursdayPlease note that clocks in the Mexican State of Coahuila are not adjusted to Daylight Saving Time and will display one hour behind the U.S. Port of Entry.During the transition from summer to winter schedule, the crossing will be:
- OPEN April 26-May 1 (Wednesday through Monday).
- CLOSED May 2-4 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
At the Port of Entry, visitors will be able to cross into Mexico by foot (during low water) or by rowboat ferry (for a fee) during business hours only. This port of entry does not accommodate vehicle crossings or commercial importation of products. There is no other legal access to Mexico within Big Bend National Park.Proper documentation is required to cross. U.S. and Canadian citizens can cross with a valid passport.
