On May 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM, actor Pam Brown will portray Mary Lincoln in a performance titled "Taking Leave" at Lincoln Home National Historic Site.

"Taking Leave" highlights Mary Lincoln as she prepares to leave the White House for the final time, on May 22, 1865. Her heart heavy, Mary will share memories and consider the lonely journey she now faces.

"Taking Leave" will last for approximately one hour, with time for a Q & A following the performance. This performance will take place in Theater 1 of the Lincoln Home Visitor Center, located at 426 S 7th Street. Admission is free and tickets are not required.
