In central Europe, Poland sits at both the geographical and the birding crossroads of the continent. The country's diverse and rich habitats make it an excellent location for both nesting and migratory bird species. Learn about the birds of Poland at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center on Wednesday, May 10th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.
Meet park officials from three of Poland’s National Parks to explore the country’s birdlife and to learn more about these special places and the “sister park” agreement that Indiana Dunes National Park shares with Poland. Magdalena Jedro of Kampinoski National Park, Adam Olszewski of Slovinski NP and Artur Wiatr of Biebrza NP will share their experiences.
The visitor center is located at 1215 N. State Road 49 in Porter, Indiana. For more information on this and other programs at Indiana Dunes National Park, call 219-395-1882, visit our website, download the official National Park Service app, or view our Facebook page.
