The following news_release was published by the Bureau of Reclamation on May 5. It is reproduced in full below.

SONORA, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled the reopening of Angels Creek Launch in New Melones Lake’s Glory Hole Recreation Area on Saturday, May 6. Significant precipitation during the winter and spring of this year increased reservoir elevations allowing usability of the boat launch ramp after several years of drought. New docks are presently being built for the launch and should be available soon.

Additional resources at Angels Creek, including the restroom and fish cleaning station, are currently closed as remediation efforts are underway. A portable restroom is available at the launch.

New Melones Lake Visitor Center is open for pass sales on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For more information, call 209-536-9094, ext. 0, (TTY 800-877-8339) or visit the New Melones Lake website at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/ccao/newmelones/index.html or www.recreation.gov.
