The following press releases was published by the Bureau of Land Management on May 4. It is reproduced in full below.

WORLAND, Wyo. - The Bureau of Land Management Worland Field Office announces that access across 1.1 miles of private land to the BLM-managed Paint Rock Canyon Trail near Hyattville has been discontinued by the landowner.

At this time, recreationists may continue to access Paint Rock canyon and creek from the Lone Tree Trail, where the BLM is planning improvements to trail conditions. The Worland Field Office is exploring options to establish an alternative public access route to the Paint Rock Canyon Trail from lower elevations.

To reach the Lone Tree Trailhead, travel the Cold Springs Road from Medicine Lodge State Park for approximately 7 miles and turn onto the signed two-track.

For more information, please contact the BLM Worland Field Office at (307) 347-5100.
