The Bureau of Land Management is cancelling a previously announced Alaska Resource Advisory Council meeting. Due to unforeseen circumstances the meeting, initially planned for May 24 in Anchorage, will be rescheduled.

The 15-member Alaska Resource Advisory Council serves in an advisory capacity concerning issues relating to land use planning and the management of public land resources located within the State of Alaska. Members represent a variety of interests reflective of the Bureau’s multiple-use mission and Alaska’s diverse population. Members meet to collaborate with each other and make recommendations to the BLM Alaska State Director. Over the years, consensus-based recommendations made by Resource Advisory Councils have proven effective and lasting.

Previous meeting materials including recent presentations, meeting minutes, and agendas are available for public review on the Alaska Resource Advisory Council webpage: www.blm.gov/Alaska/RAC.

For more information about the meeting, or the BLM Alaska Resource Advisory Council, please contact Resource Advisory Council Coordinator Melinda Bolton at mbolton@blm.gov or (907) 271-3342.
