LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District has completed a draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Village of Buckhorn Sanitary Sewer Relocation, Raw Water Intake, and Water Treatment Plant Project, located in Perry County, Kentucky. Authorization is through Section 531 Southern and Eastern Kentucky Environmental Infrastructure Program.

The purpose of the EA is to analyze potential environmental impacts that would result from the relocation of sanitary sewer outfalls, construction of a 2-million gallon per day water treatment plant, and construction of a raw water intake in the Village of Buckhorn along Kentucky Route 28 and the Middle Fork Kentucky River.
