Battle Acre Park is a small park that commemorates the Battle of North Point on Sept. 12, 1814. Located in Baltimore County, MD, the park was dedicated in 1839 to honor the Maryland militia who fought against the British army. The battle occurred at the same time as the Battle of Fort McHenry and the victories of the Maryland militia forced the British to withdraw from the Chesapeake Bay for the remainder of the War of 1812.
