ATLANTA-Effective Sunday, July 2, 2023, the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park will resume its 7-day operational schedule. The park will be open Sundays - Saturdays from 9am- 5pm daily. We will resume conducting all regularly scheduled visitor service operations to include interpretive tours of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birth Home, interpretive and special event programs in the Ebenezer Baptist Church (Heritage Sanctuary), the Historic Fire Station No. 6 and the park’s Visitor Center. Other special events and programming (i.e., walking tours, special observances etc.) will be scheduled and resume on Sundays as well. On behalf of the park, we would like to thank everyone for your cooperation and continued support of the park as we transitioned from the Sunday closure of the park due to a staff shortage to the return of a 7- day operational status on Sunday, July 2nd.
