CASPER, Wyo. – Join the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center July 1 and 2 for a weekend of old-fashioned pioneer music with American folk singer Hank Cramer.
Known for his booming voice and vintage flat-top guitar, Cramer boasts a collection of more than a thousand modern and traditional songs. His humor, passion for history, and music makes for an entertaining and educational experience. Both Saturday and Sunday, Cramer will perform throughout the day and speak about America’s westward migration and its traditional songs.
On Saturday, bring your children along to explore the excitement of the California gold rush with this weekend’s youth program, “Seeking Gold in California.” At 11 a.m., participants will join Trails Center interpreters and try their luck at gold panning. Youth who can withstand getting their hands dirty just might find some “gold” in this endeavor.
