Reclamation reopens Acorn Campground for Fourth of July holiday

 The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled the reopening of Acorn Campground in New Melones Lake’s Tuttletown Recreation Area for the Fourth of July holiday. Camping will be available at Acorn Campground beginning Friday, June 30 through Thursday, July 6, providing additional opportunities to camp and enjoy the outdoors during the holiday weekend.

Additional resources at Tuttletown, include a boat launch, day use area, frisbee disc golf course, and around 8 miles of trail to explore on foot or mountain bike.

New Melones Lake Visitor Center is open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Administrative Office is open Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for pass sales and information.
