The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on July 7. It is reproduced in full below.

Emperor’s Landing Park, previously called Vienna Waterfront Park, is on the banks of the Nanticoke River in Dorchester County, Maryland and serves as a gateway to tourism for the Town of Vienna. The town was founded in 1709 and became an important port and trade center for Bay commerce. Emperor’s Landing Park preserves and explores the park’s historical, cultural, economic, and environmental significance. The park features a riverwalk, floating docks and interpretive signage of the history of the land.
