The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on July 8. It is reproduced in full below.

Dead Irish Blues will perform at Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. in the amphitheater. This concert is free and no reservations are required. In the event of rain, the concert will take place in the Visitor Center theater.

The band, based out of Johnstown, PA, performs a wide range of styles, from Celtic to blues to zydeco and swing, but frequently does exclusively Celtic shows. Most of the songs, except for the originals, were written by people long since deceased. The name of the band is inspired by the combination of styles and homage to deceased musicians.
