From the vast coastal prairies and hypersaline lagoon, to the sandy gulf beaches and the tidal mud flats, Padre Island has unique habitats that teem with life. Native Americans, Spanish explorers and cattle ranchers have all walked along the shores here and so can you.

Join a park ranger or park volunteer to discover what makes Padre Island National Seashore special. A variety of topics including geology, plants, animals, and history may be presented.
