The trial of the men accused of lynching Emmett Till took place at the Tallahatchie County Courthouse in Sumner, Mississippi. Visitors can learn more at the Emmett Till Interpretive Center, an official nonprofit partner of Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument, across the street from the courthouse. Tours of the courthouse begin at the center. While at the center, experience local efforts to support community healing through art and storytelling. The center also offers a self-guided tour app of other sites related to Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley. Please respect private property as you visit the area. Get directions to the site.
