The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on July 26. It is reproduced in full below.

Fourteen-year-old Emmett Till’s body was found near Graball Landing on the Tallahatchie River following his lynching by two White men in 1955. Graball Landing is located near Glendora, Mississippi, and accessible to visitors via River Road. Please note that River Road is unpaved and can be difficult to traverse in wet conditions. The site includes views of the river, a historic marker, and limited roadside parking. Please respect private property around the site.

Ask about road conditions at the Emmett Till Interpretive Center before visiting. Get directions to the site.
