Inviting all sculptors to apply! Sculptors are invited to showcase their work and demonstrate their process at Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park's annual Sculptural Visions festival on Sept. 23, 2023.

Sculptural Visions celebrates the continued tradition of sculpting at the former home of renowned 19th century sculptor, Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The park is currently seeking working artists to showcase their work and craft throughout the event. Opportunities for hands-on particiation are encouraged.

Sculptural Visions takes place outdoors on the park grounds with space provided under outdoor tents. Demonstration space include 15 feet by 15 feet tents for single artists and larger 20 feet by 40 feet tents shared by multiple sculptors (where each sculptor gets 20’x20’ for space) with electricity made available for those who need it. On the day of the event, sculptors can begin unloading artwork and materials at 9am. The event will end at 4pm.

A per diem compensation of $300 will be awarded to accepted sculptors.

Application Process

The park and the Saint-Gaudens Memorial strive to include a range of sculptural mediums, techniques, and approaches at the event. Sculptors can apply to particiate by sending the following information to newton_rose@nps.gov by Sept. 1, 2023:

1. Name

2. Address

3. Perferred medium

4. A brief description of intended display

5. Will you need eletricity for your display? If so, for what?

6. How many tables would you need?

7. Will you offer hands-on activities? If so, for what ages?

8. A selection of photos depicting a sampling of your work.
