The Superintendent is issuing a closure of the Kandik Public Use Cabin and Smith/40-Mile Public Use Cabin within Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve as they have been found to be unsafe for public occupancy as a result of structural damage caused by the 2023 Yukon River Break-Up/Flood.

This provision is approved and will remain in effect until rescinded or superseded.

Additional park information is available by calling the Eagle Visitor Center at (907) 547-2343 or the Fairbanks Alaska Public Lands Information Center at (907) 459-3730 between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm daily, or by visiting the Yukon-Charley Rivers website at www.nps.gov/yuch.
