Park rangers will lead a hike of the Inclines 6 to 10 Trail on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, at 10:00 am. Space is limited due to shuttling and reservations are required. Please call the Visitor Center at 814-886-6150 to sign up for this free hike.

The hike is 9-10 miles in length and follows the Allegheny Portage Railroad down the eastern side of the Allegheny Mountains. The trail is extremely steep and rugged in places! Participants will learn about how the Allegheny Portage Railroad was built and operated. Many features from the days of the railroad are visible.

Participants are encouraged to wear good hiking shoes and bring water and a snack. The hike will take place rain or shine.
