FARMINGTON, N.M. - With increasing precipitation and higher humidity, resulting in reduced fire danger, the Bureau of Land Management is rescinding fire restrictions in San Juan, Rio Arriba, Taos, Colfax, Union, Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Mora, Harding and San Miguel counties, as well as portions of public land in McKinley and Sandoval counties. Effective Aug. 18 at 8 a.m., this action rescinds Fire Prevention Order # NMF00000-23-01.

The BLM appreciates the public’s cooperation to help minimize the number of human-caused wildfires.
