The following press releases was published by the Bureau of Land Management on Aug. 21. It is reproduced in full below.

SANTA FE, N.M. - The 63-acre Camel Tracks Fire on the Caja del Rio has been contained. It is currently under investigation by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Although fully contained, there are still hot spots burning within the fire perimeter, so residents may still see smoke.

The BLM would like to caution the community to avoid the area while crews are on site, and remind that although temporary fire restrictions in the area were lifted on Aug. 18, there are still statewide restrictions on the use of exploding targets and fireworks year-round on BLM lands.

To report a wildland fire, contact Santa Fe County at (505) 428-3720.
