CASPER, Wyo. - Visit the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center Aug. 26 and 27 for an entire weekend devoted to Native American history.

Presentations and demonstrations focusing on basic survival skills, stone tool making, and atlatls will take place on the grounds outside the Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The Trails Center welcomes back special guest Cleve Bell to share his knowledge of Native American culture. Bell is a local Wyoming artist and retired art teacher who taught at the Wyoming Indian High School in Ethete, Wyo.

Events Schedule

* August 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Native American History and Demonstrations

** 11 a.m. - Native American crafts (youth program)

** 1 p.m. - Atlatl demonstration

** 3 p.m. - Stone tool making demonstration

* August 27 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Native American History and Demonstrations

** 10 a.m. - Tipi history

** 12 p.m. - Atlatl demonstration

** 2 p.m. - Stone tool making demonstration
