Canaveral National Seashore is reopening after Hurricane Idalia. The seashore will open today Aug. 31, 2023, at 9:00 AM. Visitors should continue to exercise caution while in all areas where access is allowed.

The following areas are open Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023:

* Apollo Beach

* Playalinda Beach

* Seminole Rest

With the safety of employees and visitors being National Park Service’s top priority, the following areas remain closed:

* Apollo boardwalk 1a and parking area 6

* Playalinda parking area 3

The safety of visitors and staff is our highest priority. We will share information with the public as it becomes available.Please observe all closures and do not enter through closed gates.
