BLM Rock Springs Temporarily Closes Steamboat Mountain Area to Motorized Vehicles

News Release: ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. -- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Rock Springs Field Office is temporarily closing the Steamboat Mountain area northeast of Rock Springs, Wyoming to motorized vehicles. The closure lasts from May 10 to July 1 to protect sensitive elk calving and deer fawning areas, as indicated in the Green River Resource Management Plan.

News Release: CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Bureau of Land Management invites public review and comment on the Cedar City Field Office Emergency Stabilization and Rehabilitation Program Environmental Assessment. Free daily dino tours kick off in a Jurassic way at Hanksville-Burpee Dinosaur Quarry

News Release: HANKSVILLE, Utah - Brontosaurus-size your summer with a free 30- to 45-minute guided tour of the Hanksville-Burpee Dinosaur Quarry. Tours will be offered the weeks of May 15, May 22, and June 5, 2023, Mondays through Fridays at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., and on Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., weather permitting. Great Basin National Park to Add Additional Lehman Caves Tours

News Release: BAKER, NV - Two additional tours of Lehman Caves at Great Basin National Park are proposed to begin in 2024. The park is seeking public comments on the proposed fees for these additional tours before any final decisions. In determining proposed fees, the park completed a cost comparison to similar tours offered by other cave operations. The comment period will open May 1 and close May 30, 2023.
