News Release: SANTA FE, N.M. - The Bureau of Land Management New Mexico State Office today announced that it has awarded a new financial assistance agreement to New Mexico Counties for community wildfire risk reduction, planning, and outreach. The more than $1.2 million award is using funds from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to improve the wildfire resiliency of our nation’s lands and protect homes and businesses from increasingly extreme fire seasons being driven by climate change.

Acadia National Park hosts Federal Resume Workshops

News Release: BAR HARBOR, MAINE - In partnership with Mount Desert Island Adult Education and Ellsworth Adult and Community Education, Acadia National Park will host seven Federal Resume Workshops this summer and fall. Blue Ridge Parkway officials announce early closure of Virginia campground

News Release: (Lynchburg, VA) - Due to staffing limitations, Otter Creek Campground, located at milepost 60.9, will suspend operations for the season on Aug. 24, 2023. Reservation holders for Otter Creek campground will be contacted about refunds and other options for camping at nearby Parkway campgrounds. The Parkway’s remaining seven campgrounds are expected to remain open through Oct. 31, 2023.

News Release: JOHNSON CITY, Texas - Make plans to join Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park and Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site in celebrating the 115th anniversary of President Johnson’s birth. At 10:00 am on Sunday, August 27th, the National Park Service will host the annual wreath-laying ceremony at President Johnson’s gravesite in the Johnson Family Cemetery at the LBJ Ranch. The ceremony continues a tradition that Mrs. Claudia “Lady Bird" Johnson began in 1973.
