BLM Bakersfield Field Office issues seasonal fire restrictions

News Release: BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bureau of Land Management will issue seasonal fire restrictions for public lands managed by the Bakersfield Field Office effective Thursday, May 25, due to dry conditions and high wildland fire danger. These seasonal restrictions are in addition to the year-round statewide fire prevention order, issued on April 28, 2020. This seasonal fire order will remain in effect until further notice.

Help Feed the Animals at the National Park’s Chellberg Farm

Arrest made in Rock Creek Parkway fatal traffic crash

News Release: WASHINGTON - The United States Park Police arrested the driver involved in the fatal March 15 crash on Rock Creek Parkway that killed three occupants in one of the involved cars. Nakita Marie Walker, 43, of Washington, D.C. was charged with Second Degree Murder and arrested on May 22.


Devils Tower National Monument Staff Attended a Training for High-Angle Rope Rescue
