Reclamation announces Yakima basin April water supply forecast
News Release: YAKIMA, Wash. - The Bureau of Reclamation’s April 2023 total water supply available forecast for the Yakima basin indicates the water supply will be adequate to meet irrigation demands this season. The April total water supply available for the April-September period indicates senior water rights will receive 100% of entitlements and junior water rights will receive 82% of entitlements.

Creeping and smoldering continues to be observed in the prairies and pines. Current mapping puts the fire at 9,749 acres and containment has increased to 67%.
