Catoctin Mountain Park announces temporary closures April 6 – 9, 2023
News Release: Park Central Road will be closed between Thurmont Vista and the Camp Greentop entrance. Trails to Hog Rock Overlook and Blue Ridge Summit Vista will also be closed. All other roads and trails will remain open.

Big Cypress National Preserve Issues Temporary Area Closure for the Cypress Trail Wildfire
News Release: OCHOPEE, FL - Yesterday, April 5th, Big Cypress National Preserve was notified of a wildfire in the northern portion of the preserve, located approximately one mile north of I-75 around mile marker 68. The Cypress Trail Wildfire is currently estimated to be approximately 1200 acres in size, burning in a mixture of grass, brush and pine. Temporary Fix Restores Limited Service to Portion of Lighthouse Dock
