Army Corps, Rehoboth Beach to host Town Hall regarding Lakes Management Plan

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Rehoboth Beach will host a public Town Hall meeting Wednesday, June 28, to discuss a draft Lakes Management Plan for Silver Lake and Lake Comegys in Sussex County, Delaware.

Voyageurs National Park Issues Burning Restrictions

News Release: INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN: Due to rapidly increasing fire danger, Voyageurs National Park is banning all campfires within the park. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources issued burning restrictions for northern St. Louis County from County Road 16 north. In cooperation with the Minnesota DNR, Voyageurs National Park will apply the following restrictions throughout the park effective immediately.


Apgar Village

News Release: Apgar Village is named for Milo Apgar, an early settler who came to Lake McDonald in the 1890s with the intention of farming. In time, Apgar and other homesteaders realized tourism made for better business, and began catering to visiting tourists.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineering and Support Center Huntsville awarded the U.S. Army Office of Energy Initiatives Energy Support Services Generation Five (OEI V) requirement for $28,805,119 to incumbent Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., on June 12.


Cliff Palace View

News Release: Cliff Palace is North America’s largest cliff dwelling, with 150 rooms and 21 kivas. Cliff Palace was an important community center. It may have been an administrative site, an important place of business and cultural exchange, or simply a large village. Apgar Campground

News Release: Apgar campground is the largest campground in the park. It is situated in trees and provides tent and RV campers with shade and some privacy. Evening sunsets on Lake McDonald are only a short stroll, and you won't want to miss evening programs with a ranger at the Apgar Amphitheater. Sun Temple
