Free Concert Series Rockin' the Riverfront

Partner Groups Offer Preservation Tour of Cedar Creek & Belle Grove

BLM seeks public comment on resource management plan amendment for the Sonoran Desert National Monument

News Release: PHOENIX - The Bureau of Land Management’s Lower Sonoran Field Office has released for public comment a draft resource management plan amendment and related environmental assessment for the Sonoran Desert National Monument in Maricopa and Pinal counties. The purpose of the amendment is to establish management guidance for recreational target shooting within the monument and to fulfill the requirements of an April 2022 court settlement.

Early Morning Safety Checkpoint

News Release: TUPELO, MS - Natchez Trace Parkway officers conducted a traffic safety checkpoint just south of the City of Tupelo during the early peak commute hours on June 4, 2023. This checkpoint was designed to remove unlawfully operated vehicles, such as impaired or unlicensed drivers, from the Parkway during peak traffic.

Wild Basin Road Will Be Closed To All Uses For Road Maintenance Tuesday, July 18 through Friday, July 21

News Release: Beginning Tuesday, July 18, through Friday, July 21, the Wild Basin Road in Rocky Mountain National Park will be closed to all uses, including vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians for road maintenance. This closure will occur at the Wild Basin Entrance Station and will include the entire two-mile section of the road to the Wild Basin Trailhead.

Final necropsy results released for mountain lion P-22  

News Release: THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) and National Park Service (NPS) reviewed the final postmortem examination and lab tests from P-22, the mountain lion from Griffith Park. The results confirmed P-22 had been suffering from multiple severe injuries and chronic conditions that impaired his ability to function in the wild and would have lowered his quality of life if placed in human care.
