New traffic pattern coming April 15 to the northern section of George Washington Memorial Parkway

News Release: McLean, Va.- On Saturday, April 15, the National Park Service (NPS) will implement a new, temporary traffic pattern on George Washington Memorial Parkway between I-495 and Route 123 for the next phase of the North Parkway Rehabilitation Project. Drivers should observe traffic signs, respect the 40-mph speed limit, expect delays through narrow travel lanes and plan alternate routes.

Record Snowfall at Great Basin National Park

Valles Caldera Fishing Permit Applications Now Available for 2023-24 Fishing Season

A State of New Mexico fishing license is required to fish within Valles Caldera and a backcountry vehicle pass is required for those wishing to drive into the backcountry to fish.

Childs Park in Delaware Township, PA. Those responsible for the graffiti on the Brooks Woolen Mill ruins and the original 1892 date stone have been identified, located, and charges are pending. El Morro Campground

News Release: El Morro National Monument operates a free, nine-site campground with two vault toilets year-round. Each site has a graveled tent pad, picnic table, and ground grill for fires. During the warmer months, water is available in spigots centrally located along the campground loop. When overnight temperatures begin to drop below freezing, water is turned off for the season. One site, No. 5, is handicapped accessible.
