Just in time for National Trails Day, the National Park Service began work to improve around eight miles of trails at Monocacy National Battlefield this week. When work is complete later this summer, visitors can expect wider and safer trails, easier access with updated signs and trail-markers, and over two miles of new hikes to enjoy.
