BLM to begin improvement project at Mattole Campground

News Release: ARCATA, Calif. - The Bureau of Land Management will begin a project to expand and improve the Mattole Campground near the community of Petrolia at the north end of the King Range National Conservation Area on Mon., July 10. Work is expected to continue into early August.

Pemberton Historical Park

News Release: Pemberton Historical Park, located in Salisbury, Maryland is a 262-acre park that offers 4.5 miles of nature trails, environmental, and special events. The park’s history dates to 1741 when Isaac Handy, one of the founders of the City of Salisbury, first built Pemberton Hall. Though founded by Handy, the park is named for Joseph Pemberton, who sold 960-acres of land to Handy. The historic structure still stands on park grounds and reflects its pre-Revolutionary war history.
