Part of Fort Totten Park closed for public safety after discovery of metal canisters
On April 18, a National Park Service employee found two metal canisters in a mound of soil in Fort Totten Park. Out of an abundance of caution and until more research can be completed, the park is closed just east of Fort Totten Drive, south of Gallatin Street, and north of Brookland Ave NE/Farragut St.

Cape Hatteras National Seashore announces limited parking availability at Oregon Inlet boat ramps during pavement improvement project

Automobile Break-ins in Joshua Tree National Park
Park rangers are investigating a theft from multiple vehicles in Joshua Tree National Park. On March 8, 2023, at approximately 5 pm, park rangers were dispatched to Hemingway Parking Lot for a report of theft from automobiles.

They Suffer So Acutely
On Saturday, April 29, at 2 pm, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will present a special 1-hour, ranger-led program examining the role of hospitals in Chattanooga during the Civil War. Participants are asked to park at the 301-409 Collins St Parking Lot adjacent to the Confederate cemetery on 5th Avenue, where the program will be held. (301-499 Collins St, Chattanooga, TN 37403).
