 Secretary Haaland Designates Nine New National Recreation Trails

News Release: WASHINGTON - In celebration of Great Outdoors Month and National Trails Day on June 3, Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland today announced the designation of nine new national recreation trails in nine states, adding 340 miles to the National Trails System. The newly designated trails join a network of more than 1,300 existing national recreation trails, which can be found in every U.S. state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.    


BLM seeks comments on proposed 300 MW Bonanza Solar Project

News Release: LAS VEGAS - The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comments on the Bonanza Solar Project, in Clark and Nye counties, Nevada. If approved as proposed, this project would generate up to 300 megawatts of solar energy and would include 300 megawatts of battery storage for communities in southwest Nevada, including Las Vegas.

News Release: SALT LAKE CITY - Consistent with direction in the Inflation Reduction Act, the Bureau of Land Management Utah State Office released an environmental assessment today analyzing six parcels comprising 8,972.24 acres for the proposed December 2023 competitive oil and gas lease sale on lands managed within the Vernal Field Office in Uintah County. The release of this environmental assessment starts a 30-day public comment period.
