Pozo Nuevo Road Re-opened For Public Use

News Release: AJO ARIZONA - Pozo Nuevo Road repairs are complete, and the road is now re-open to public use. Bates Well Road closed on April 4, 2023 from the intersection of Growler Wash extending west to the boundary of the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge to allow for heavy equipment usage to repair the roadbed.

Boardwalk Replacement Project to begin at Elm Brook Hill on Battle Road Trail

News Release: CONCORD, Mass -Replacement of the boardwalk near Elm Brook Hill in Minute Man National Historical Park is scheduled to begin in the late summer/early fall of 2023. This is one of several boardwalks slated for replacement in 2023 and 2024. These projects will require temporary trail closures to the public at various locations along the Battle Road Trail for safety and protection of the park’s natural and cultural resources.

News Release: NEW ORLEANS - A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 270,000 visitors to Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve in 2022 spent $17.8 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 247 jobs in the local area. At New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park, 37,400 visitors spent $2.5 million in communities near the park and supported 34 local jobs.
