Paradise Historic Tour: Paradise Ranger Station

News Release: For eighty years park rangers used this building as a base for coordinating rescues and protecting park resources. The ranger station still serves this purpose, although it is no longer open to the public. Historically, the first floor was an information center and the second floor served as living quarters.

Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to invest millions in Alaska parks

News Release: ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Alaska’s national parks have received millions of dollars to conduct climate change and infrastructure work in parks across the state. In fiscal year 2023, President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act will provide $52 million to the National Park Service (NPS) to fund projects throughout the country related to ecosystem resilience, restoration, and environmental planning needs.


Park rangers announce fire restrictions at Joshua Tree National Park

News Release: Due to hot, dry weather conditions, high winds, and increasing fire danger, Joshua Tree National Park leadership will implement fire restrictions at the direction of the Superintendent beginning Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Wind Cave tours canceled due to elevator repairs
