VOLUNTEERS INVITED TO JOIN LABOR DAY WORK PROJECT AT MANZANAR, SEPTEMBER 1 - 4, 2023

News Release: Manzanar’s award-winning public archeology program offers opportunities to learn about the past and help preserve the site and its stories for the future. Crews will remove fallen trees and branches, rock debris, and litter and will mow along road shoulders.

International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) to be held on Saturday, September 16

News Release: PORT ANGELES, WA - The International Coastal Cleanup is an event that began in 1986 by the Ocean Conservancy and has grown into an international cleanup event. Volunteers from states and territories throughout the United States and more than 150 countries come together to participate in a cleanup event near them. At Olympic National Park, volunteers take to the beaches and remove tons of trash. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, September 16.

Update on Yentna Aircraft Accident in Denali National Park

News Release: Denali Park, AK - After three reconnaissance flights to the site of a PA-18 aircraft accident in the southwest preserve of Denali National Park and Preserve, officials have determined that pilot Jason Tucker, age 45 of Wasilla, AK, and passenger Nicolas Blace, age 44 of Chugiak, AK, are presumed to have died in the crash.
