Great Smoky Mountains National Park announces upcoming North Carolina road construction funded by the Great American Outdoors Act

News Release: CODY, Wyo.-The Bureau of Land Management Cody Field Office has released an environmental assessment that analyzes future wild horse bait trap gathers and fertility control measures needed in the McCullough Peaks Wild Horse Herd Management Area for the next 10 years. The public comment period is open July 13-Aug. 12, 2023.

The event is free, and runs from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with demonstrations by metalsmiths and surgeons and hands on experiences appropriate for all ages taking place throughout the day.
