Rodanthe Beach Access

News Release: Rodanthe Beach Access, provided by Dare County, is one of the only accessible public beach access in the Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo area of Hatteras Island. From July 1 to Aug. 11, 2023, National Park Service and Dare County will station lifeguards at the beach from 9am- 5pm.

Fort Stanwix Hosts Rome Cemetery Bike Hike

News Release: On Sunday, July 16th, Fort Stanwix National Monument will host a free ranger-led bike hike to the Rome Cemetery. Those participating in the bike tour are invited to meet at the Willett Center at Fort Stanwix National Monument by 10:30 a.m. Due to terrain and distance, approximately 6 miles round trip, it is recommended for ages 10 and up.


Bureau of Land Management Las Cruces District announces temporary closure of Community Pit #1

News Release: LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Las Cruces District announces the temporary closure of the area known as Community Pit #1 in the Robledo Mountains, pending completion of reclamation. The area is closed to all public entry, except for the use of existing roads and trails that access public lands beyond the closed area. Public lands surrounding the closed area, including the Prehistoric Trackways National Monument, will remain open for public access.
