Unsung Hero Day at Fort Stanwix

News Release: On Saturday, July 22, the park will be hosting a free Unsung Hero Day event at the reconstructed fort. The event highlights some of the skilled professionals whose expertise was essential to the outcome of the 1777 Siege of Fort Stanwix/Schuyler. The event is free, and runs from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with demonstrations by metalsmiths and surgeons and hands on experiences appropriate for all ages taking place throughout the day.

Two Climbers Rescued on the Diamond of Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park

Climbers' Guide House Exhibit Panel

Reclamation announces temporary road closure at Anchor Reservoir

News Release: MILLS, Wyo. - The Bureau of Reclamation has temporarily closed the access road to the Anchor Reservoir Campground at the Owl Creek Middle Fork crossing. The crossing was badly damaged by flood waters on June 12 and is impassable by vehicular traffic. The road will be closed until further notice. The repair work is tentatively scheduled for the middle of August and a follow-up news release will be issued when the work has been completed and the road has been reopened.
